Of course, the final job was to add the players - again, pinched from a model railway accessory kit and painted into two uniform colours. Why no Subbuteo, we're bound to ask?!

The final specification of the machine:
  • Case: Origen X15e HTPC with touchscreen;
  • CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+;
  • Mainboard: ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe;
  • Graphics: GeForce 7900 GT;
  • RAM: Corsair 1GB Value Select;
  • Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 250GB.

Whilst some might say that this is a relatively 'simple' mod, there's no doubting its effectiveness - it really looks pretty darned neat. The silver base looks great, and the football pitch on top is well crafted. Congratulations to Olly/Butterkneter on a job well done, and thanks for sharing this mod with us!
